Noodles, Homemade

Homemade Noodles
Nothing beats homemade noodles or dumplings in turkey or chicken soup. I personally like them thick, some like them thinner. This recipe is quick and easy and you can make them the way you like!
Ingredients
  1. 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour, sifted
  2. ½ teaspoon baking powder
  3. 1 pinch salt
  4. 2 eggs
  5. 1 Tablespoon butter
  6. ½ cup milk

Instructions
  1. Place the flour, salt and baking powder in the sifter and sift into a large bowl then mix well (NOTE: if you don’t want the thick noodles, leave out the baking powder).
  2. In a separate bowl, blend and beat the egg, milk and butter.
  3. Pour the liquid mix into the flour mix and knead into dough until smooth (about 5 minutes).
  4. Let rest in a covered bowl for about 10 minutes.
  5. On a floured surface, roll out dough to 1/8 to 1/4 inch thickness.
  6. Cut into desired width noodles with a pizza knife and cut to desired length.
  7. Separate and toss noodles then allow to air dry before cooking (1 to 2 hours – depending on the thickness of the noodles).
Notes
  1. If you don’t want the noodles as thick, leave out the baking powder.
