Cynthia’s Cowboy Beans

    These cowboy beans are a family favorite!  Great side for your BBQ or a main dish served with corn bread!
	Ingredients
			- 1 lb ground beef or pork
 - 1 12oz package bacon
 - 1 15.5oz can white beans, drained and rinsed
 - 1 15.5oz can black beans, drained and rinsed
 - 1 28oz can Bush’s Vegetarian beans
 - 1 21.7oz can Bush’s Hot Honey Grillin’ Beans
 - 1 yellow onion, chopped
 - 1 Cup Ketchup
 - 1 to 2 Tablespoons liquid smoke (I use Hickory)

In a large pot
			- Brown meat, drain and set aside
 - Brown bacon and set aside to cool, then crumble/chop
 - Sauté chopped onion in the bacon grease until translucent
 - Add the meat, beans, ketchup and the liquid smoke and cook on low heat for about 45 minutes to 1 hour; stirring often.
 - Stir in the bacon bits right before serving.
 
Notes
			- Cornbread served with a bowl of these beans, makes a tasty meal.
