Ingredients
  1. 2 Tablespoons oil
  2. 2 cans White Northern Beans
  3. 8 cups chicken broth
  4. 3 cups shredded/chopped ham
  5. 1 sweet yellow onion, finely chopped
  6. 1/2 cup celery, finely chopped
  7. 1/2 cup carrots, finely chopped
  8. 1/8 cup diced Jalapeno peppers
  9. 3 cloves garlic, minced
  10. 2 teaspoons Cajun/Southern Seasoning
  11. Salt and White Pepper to taste

Instructions
  1. Add the oil to a large stock pot and heat.
  2. Sautee onions until translucent.
  3. Add carrots, celery, garlic and Jalepenos.
  4. Sautee for another 2-3 minutes then add the chicken broth and seasonings.
  5. Stir well and bring to a low boil.
  6. Reduce heat to medium and add ham and beans.
  7. Mix the Masa in the cold milk and let combine for a couple minutes, then stir into the soup.
  8. Simmer for about 35 minutes.
Notes
  1. Bake Cornbread while simmering the soup!
