Tamale Pie

    Serves 6
    Big family favorite sure to satisfy even the largest appetite!
	Ingredients
			- 1 lb. ground beef, pork or turkey
 - 1 cup chopped onion
 - 1 cup chopped green pepper
 - 2 8oz cans tomato sauce
 - 1 1/2 cups whole kernel corn, drained
 - 1/2 cup pitted black olives, chopped
 - 1 clove garlic, minced
 - 1 Tbsp. sugar
 - 1 tsp salt
 - 2-3 tsp chili powder
 - dash of black pepper
 - 1 1/2 cups Sharp American or Cheddar cheese, shredded
 - 3/4 cup yellow cornmeal
 - 1/2 tsp salt
 - 2 cups cold water
 - 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine

Instructions
			- Cook meat, onion and green pepper in a large skillet until meat is lightly browned and vegetables are tender.
 - Stir in tomato sauce, corn, olives, garlic, sugar, salt, chili powder and pepper.
 - Simmer 20 to 25 minutes or until thick.
 - Add cheese and stir until melted.
 - Turn into a greased 9x9x2 inch baking pan.
 - In a pot on medium heat, stir cornmeal and 1/2 tsp salt into 2 cups cold water.
 - Cook, stirring constantly until thickened.
 - Add butter and mix well then spoon over hot meat mixture.
 - Bake in moderate oven (375 degrees) about 40 minutes.
