y Brother makes some very tasty hot wings and I discovered he starts them in an Air Fryer. We own and Love our Instant Pot and I discovered a whole range of Air Fryer lids that fit the 6 qt. and 8 qt. Instant Pots. I opted for a version with the glass lid, so you can “observe” the cooking process, to ensure you don’t burn your food – and WE LOVE IT!
We own a gas grill and grill often but when it’s cold and wintry, it takes a hearty soul to grill in the great outdoors! I envision this Air Fryer replacing the gas grill during the winter!
What is an Air Fryer?
The air fryer is essentially an amped-up countertop convection oven. (But there’s a difference between air-frying and baking.) Patented by Philips Electronics Company, the small appliance claims to mimic the results of deep-frying with nothing more than hot air and little or no oil.
How Do Air Fryers Work?
The top section of an air fryer holds a heating mechanism and fan. You place the food in a fryer-style basket and when you turn it on, hot air rushes down and around the food. This rapid circulation makes the food crisp—much like deep-frying, but without the oil.
