Donna J's Taco Doritos Salad

    Another BIG  family hit! This is a delicious, easy dinner and a great dish for parties or gatherings! Play with the dressing and ingredients to create your favorite!
	Ingredients
			- 2 pounds ground beef (cooked & drained)
 - 1 small to medium onion or several green onions (chopped)
 - 2 tomatoes (wedged)
 - 1 can dark red kidney or pinto beans
 - 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese or Mexican blend
 - 1 pkg. taco seasoning
 - 2/3 cup water
 - 1 head Iceberg lettuce
 - 1 bottle Thousand Island dressing (8 to 16 oz. as desired)
 - 1 bag Nacho Cheese Doritos (crushed-large)

Instructions
			- Thoroughly mix beef, taco seasoning and water.
 - Allow the meat to cool before mixing with other ingredients.
 - Combine all ingredients in a large serving dish or bowl, stir in the Doritos just before serving (so they’re maximum crunchy). (Serves 8-10 as a main meal – twice as many when served as a side dish).
 
Notes
			- Variations
 - Feel free to add black olives, corn, avocado or whatever trips your trigger!
 - Common dressings used are Thousand Island, French, Catalina, Dorothy Lynch and even Buttermilk Ranch.
 - For more taco flavoring, use 2 packages Taco Seasoning and increase the water used.
