Donna B's Broccoli-Bacon Salad

    Serves 8
    A hardy, flavorful salad.  Great for large gatherings, picnics or BBQs.
	Ingredients
			- 1 head lettuce, chopped
 - 3 cups broccoli flowerets, fresh
 - 1 red onion, chopped
 - 1 lb. bacon, fried & diced
 - 1/4 cup sugar
 - 1 cup mayonnaise
 - 1/3 cup parmesan cheese
 - Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions
			- Break lettuce & broccoli into bite sized pieces.
 - Chop red onion.
 - Layer lettuce, broccoli, onion and chopped bacon in a large glass bowl.
 - Mix together the sugar and mayonnaise until sugar appears dissolved.
 - Blend into the mayonnaise mixture the Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper.
 - Spread on top of the lettuce, bacon and onion.
 - Cover tightly and refrigerate overnight.
 - Toss well just before serving.
 - For a variation, add raisins or carrots or peanuts or sunflower seeds or cauliflower.
 
Notes
			- For KETO, replace the sugar with Stevia and you remove 24 calories and 6 carbs per serving!
